Catering Manager job summary
Due to the retirement of our long serving Catering Manager there is now an opportunity for a well-qualified, enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated individual to lead our catering provision for students and staff at the school.
We are looking for an experienced individual to manage the kitchen, to prepare and cook freshly prepared and healthy meals, and to oversee the tasks undertaken by our dedicated and experienced catering team.
You will ensure high levels of food preparation and kitchen cleanliness is maintained across all kitchen and dining areas in accordance with food handling and preparation regulations, ensuring safe and proper use of the kitchen/catering equipment and materials provided.
Additionally you will have the opportunity to shape our future provision as our new extended kitchen and dining facility is currently under construction (due to open in September 2022).

Bournemouth School, which was founded in 1901, is an over-subscribed grammar school for boys (with girls in the sixth form) serving Bournemouth and the surrounding area.
The school’s published admission number for Year 7 entry is 180 with students having to pass an examination to join us. A number of students join us in Year 12 from other local schools. The School converted to become an academy on 1st September 2011. Shortly afterwards, we were inspected by Ofsted and judged to be “outstanding”.
