Catering Manager job summary

We are looking for a professional hardworking, well organised & composed, and reliable Catering Manager, with experience of working in a fast paced environment to join our busy kitchen. This is a hands-on role where you will be actively involved in cooking all food alongside your team at our main kitchen, before it is delivered and served to approximately 300 pupils across our catering provision of four schools in Milton Keynes.

Qualifications Required:

  • L3 Food Hygiene
  • Allergen Awareness training
  • COSHH training
  • Driving Licence required

You will be responsible for:

  • Looking after and monitoring the Catering Budget
  • Preparing food for breakfast/mid-morning snacks/lunches and other hospitality events throughout the year
  • Planning the termly menus and themed days, including carb count and allergen information
  • Monitoring food production and ensuring a high standard of all meals leaving the kitchen
  • Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen ensuring all staff follow HACCP practices
  • Effectively lead and manage a Catering team of staff, across the federation, including training
  • Transportation, collection, and delivery of food and lunch eating and serving equipment across our catering provision
