Central Site Supervisor (Wellingborough Area) job summary

Peterborough Diocese Education Trust

Central Site Supervisor (Wellingborough Area)

At PDET, our core vision is for every child within our Trust, to experience an excellent education and realise their God-given potential to flourish. The role of site supervision is essential to this, to support an environment that remains compliant and safe, for children and adults alike, which enhances learning, development and wellbeing. Consequently, we have launched a new and exciting Estates Vision, driven by our passionate Estates Manager, to improve and enhance the maintenance and compliance of our family of schools.

We are now looking for a confident, experienced self-starter to join our Central Team, reporting directly to our Estates Manager, to provide preventative maintenance, general building repairs, and health and safety compliance, across a number of our smaller Northamptonshire academies, predominantly in the Wellingborough area.

If you are proactive, personable, conscientious and ready to make a real change within local primary schools – we would love to hear from you!

You will be accountable for a number of responsibilities, including:

  • Checking security and report and dealing with any faults or damage to property,
  • Ensuring the utility services are operational (heating, lighting and electrical supply),
  • Carrying out minor semi-skilled building repair and preventative maintenance tasks using hand and power tools.
  • Using a greater range of DIY skills may be a larger part of the job.

A full Job Description and Person Specification is attached for further detail.

You will be based at either at one of the academies or the Head office dependent on circumstances. Therefore, a full clean driving license and use of a vehicle is essential as you will be expected to travel between sites as required.

In return, we will offer:

  • A supportive environment where everyone is valued.
  • A passionate close working Central team, with larger networks across our Trust of 33 primary schools.
  • Opportunities for further professional development across the Trust.

Salary and Benefits

  • Full-time, Permanent Contract
  • Pay Grade E to F - DOE
  • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • 25 days annual leave, plus statutory holidays
  • Access to a vast number of wellbeing resources, including an Employee Assistance Programme, with new resources coming soon!

Speak to our Estates Manager today for more information. Please contact hr@pdet.org.uk where we will be more than happy to help!

About Peterborough Diocese Education Trust

Type
Multi-academy trust

Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET) is a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) that was created in 2014 to be the ‘home for church schools’. It is currently made up of 33 academies; 30 academies are in Northamptonshire, one in Rutland and one in Peterborough.

Our primary academies deliver education to 6000 children of all faiths and none. Many of our staff would not describe themselves as regular church attenders, however, they feel that they are able to subscribe to the values that we consider important to achieving outstanding education within a distinctly Christian ethos.

We believe children flourish in our schools if the adults are flourishing. Therefore, supporting and developing our staff is a key priority. We regard this as a strength of our Trust.

We believe in the infinite worth of each person: children deserve the very best education and staff deserve support to deliver this.
