What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher to join our successful Science department to teach Chemistry to KS5 and General Science to KS3. The ability to teach KS4 Physics would be an advantage but is not essential.. You will join a leading department in a heavily over-subscribed academy. The Science department is staffed with a mixture of experienced teachers, NQTs and three technicians, all with a commitment to continuous school improvement. Our curriculum is uniquely designed ensuring that pupils are taught Triple Science from Key Stage 3 into Key Stage 4, ensuring that science specialisms are celebrated, and expertise shared. We are looking for a Physics specialist who is passionate and creative within their subject. We have a suite of dedicated Science laboratories, including a newly-refurbished lab and Sixth Form facilities.
You will be keen to promote the Science department and improve upon the opportunities available to our students. We want an individual to enhance the experience of our pupils both in and out of the classroom, someone who is innovative in their specialism and truly wants to inspire the budding Highcrest future scientists.
Are you a team player and passionate about education and social mobility? Do you want to be a pivotal part of improving opportunities for students and increasing their learning and social experiences? Do you want to work in an environment which prioritises staff and student health and well-being? Then please apply now!
What the school offers its staff
