Spanish Club Leader (Part-Time)

Location: Europa School UK
Hours: 1 hour per week (Any day between Monday & Thursday, 3:45 PM - 4:45 PM)

Are you passionate about chess and inspiring young minds? Europa Primary School is looking for a motivated and patient individual to lead our Chess Club once a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a positive and engaging environment that encourages teamwork, critical thinking, and a love for chess.
• Provide support and guidance to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced players.
• Organize and lead weekly Chess Club sessions for students, focusing on developing their skills and strategic thinking.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of chess, including rules, strategies, and techniques.
• Experience working with primary school children is preferred.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging chess activities and mini-tournaments.

Europa School UK a UK state school offering a bilingual education from four to 18 culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

September 2017 saw ESUK open the Secondary School, the final stage of a phased opening which began in 2012 with key stage 1. We offer a multilingual and multicultural education, with primary children taught in English and also either German, French or Spanish via full immersion and humanities taught in the second language throughout the secondary phase. Other than language our emphasis is on science, well suited to the employment opportunities in Oxfordshire. Europa School inherits from its European School predecessor a history of preparing students for outstanding success at universities in the UK, throughout Europe and beyond.

The primary has three form entry and is consistently oversubscribed. We received a good rating from Ofsted.

The centrepiece of the Secondary School is the beautiful grade-II listed buildings of Culham College which has hosted a European School since 1978 and is in the process of receiving a multimillion pound facelift. The school is set in rural Oxfordshire but near Oxford and Abingdon. There is onsite parking and good cycle access.
