Our first academy, Birmingham Ormiston Academy has been open ten years and is one of the most successful state-funded academies in the country. Our ambitions for our other academies are no different. Our second Academy, BOA Stage and Screen (16 - 19) opened at the start of this academic year and our next academy, BOA Digital (11 – 19), opens in September 2022.
We are looking for an outstanding, dynamic and inspirational leader to work with the Trustees and industry partners, to shape our provision and turn our future ambitions into a reality.
You will have a proven track record of successful leadership in education and be passionate about raising aspiration and realising the potential of young people, whatever their background. With high emotional intelligence and exceptional interpersonal skills, you will be outward facing and strategic, but also prepared to get involved in the detail when necessary. The ability to work with industry partners and establish effective working partnerships, across relevant sectors will be critical to the future success and development of the Trust.

The BOA Group is a distinctive multi-academy Trust with a number of subsidiary companies and ventures. The Trust has grown out of the success of our first school, Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this academic year. Gaynor Cheshire, the current CEO, is retiring after 11 years. She was the Founding Principal of BOA and has taken the Trust from a stand-still position to the strong organisation it is today.
