This role:

The Chief Financial Officer will report to the CEO / Trustees and be responsible for the financial reporting and controllership of the Great Learners Trust, as well as supporting its development and sustainability. The CFO is a key member of the Trust’s Senior Leadership Team comprising CEO, COO, Director of Education and Head of Estates.

The CFO leads and directs the GLT Finance Team. The CFO has overall responsibility for all financial accounting and transactional finance for the Trust, ensuring all systems are updated and reporting is timely and in line with annual financial returns.

The CFO will provide clear financial and commercial direction for the Trust.  The CFO will be tasked with keeping ahead of all funding and legislative changes that apply to the education sector and required to advise the Trust Board of strategic financial information to enable them to make informed decisions. The CFO reports to the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, and is also expected to attend up to 6 Trust Board Meetings annually, held in the evenings.

The Trust Headquarters are at Great Missenden C of E School, but the GLT Central Team work across all the schools, with some home working.
