What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and resourceful individual to support the work of the Academy’s ‘Children in Care’ as a Learning Mentor, based at our Ruskington Campus.

The postholder will be involved in supporting KS3 and KS4 CIC students and their carers.

The role includes monitoring attendance, supporting student/agency meetings in school or in the home and supporting school involvement in EPEP’S/TAC/CIC/CIN meetings; supporting student progress and liaising with teachers.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, being able to deal with sensitive and confidential issues, as well as the ability to liaise with outside agencies. Applicants should also hold a level 2 or 3 qualification or have equivalent experience for working with young people aged between 11-19. Good administrative skills are essential. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
