Our learning environment, outcomes and curriculum that is offered to our 417 children is second to none and we are a school with low staff turnover and high staff retention.
Our ethos is very much about our community ‘working to learn together’ and our staff are our greatest resource. We have invested in both our teaching and support staff teams which has placed us in a good position with regards to current educational challenges.
As the founding primary member of the Coast and Vale Learning Trust we are working closely with our sister school Friarage Primary as we share learning and build a primary hub our coastal area can be proud of. With access to the Teaching Alliance, based at Scalby School, we continue to rightly place staff development, training and resources at the heart of our journey.
Our Opportunity
Due to a teacher going on maternity, we are looking to appoint a highly motivated colleagues to join our school and work with our children and provide the support they need to be their best. Working in our school is incredibly rewarding as we all work together as part of ‘Team Newby’ enriching the education of our pupils. You will either be an NQT looking for your first teaching post or an existing practitioner within KS1 and KS2. With tailored support from your new colleagues and leaders we will further develop you and give you the skills, encouragement and experience within the profession to excel as a teacher within the Newby & Scalby family. Many of our teachers have joined through opportunities like this and we promise to support, encourage and challenge you regardless. All we ask in return is commitment, a love of learning and a pride as you create those remarkable moments for our children.
We are looking for:
• A skilled professional who has an engaging and dynamic style of teaching
• Someone who has the drive and ambition to make sure our children achieve their very best, and promotes academic excellence within KS1/2
• A teacher with a flair and passion for primary education who will embrace working and teaching in our school.
