St Joseph’s is a catholic school in the heart of Otley surrounded by beautiful views of Otley Chevin. We enjoy an excellent reputation in the local area as a place where children can grow and learn in a caring and stimulating environment.
Within the friendly, family atmosphere of our school community, we promote the values of love, respect, tolerance and forgiveness. Our mission statement - ‘As a family with God in our hearts, we love, laugh and learn' – captures our Catholic ethos in welcoming, nurturing and developing each individual intellectually, socially and spiritually.
We warmly and equally welcome catholic children, children of different faith, and those who do not follow a faith.
We are fortunate in having wonderful children, supportive Governors, dedicated staff and proud, enthusiastic parents who have high expectations of our children to achieve their best in a safe, secure and happy environment. We expect outstanding behaviour, hard work and respect for everyone. A culture of being positive, where children are rewarded for their ‘can do’ attitude to school and life, is at the forefront of all we do.
