Robert Shaw Primary is a 420 place school and a 52 place Nursery in Nottingham City, it was opened in 1950 and serves the local communities of Ainsley, Aspley and Beechdale.
At our most recent OFSTED Inspection in January 2014 we were judged to be in the “Requires Improvement” category. Since this inspection we have been working extremely hard to address the priorities raised in the Inspector’s report and make progress towards being the Good school we aspire to be. We are a vibrant, multi-cultural school in Nottingham City, and we are dedicated to providing the best education for all of our children.
The Governors and staff work hard with the community of Robert Shaw School, in order to foster our ethos of mutual respect and to make British Values integral to all that we do.
The children in our school describe Robert Shaw, as like a big family where everyone looks after each other.
Our motto is ‘We strive to improve in all that we do’ and this is the belief that we instil in all of our children, and staff. By providing a stimulating and challenging environment, we provide all children with the equal opportunity to reach their personal and educational goals.
