What skills and experience we're looking for

Our thriving, successful school is seeking a Key Stage 1 Class Teacher from February half term 2025 (an Easter 2025 start would also be considered). This is an excellent opportunity to join our supportive school community and be part of our motivated teaching team. Applicants do not need to be Catholic and we welcome applications from anyone who will support our inclusive Catholic school ethos. This post is not suitable for an ECT.

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about children and learning, and enjoys working within a team. The position will suit someone who has a clear knowledge of how children learn and is committed to inspiring children through their teaching.

What the school offers its staff

We can offer you:

  • A friendly and supportive team
  • Opportunities for professional development
  • High levels of support, excellent resources and fantastic school grounds
  • Well behaved and motivated children
  • The opportunity to be creative, innovative and forward-thinking.

The best way to understand our ethos is to come and visit us. We are a two-form entry city school with a dedicated and professional staff, a beautiful, green setting with lots of space (including a forest school). We are proud of our creative and broad curriculum. Our website gives a flavour of what we offer.

Further details about the role

Applications will be considered on receipt and we may close this advert early should an appointment be made.

Commitment to safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect everyone to share this commitment. This post requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. All users are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed. Keeping our pupils safe is our first priority. We follow safer recruitment practices as per KCSIE and will rigorously take up and check references and carry out an internet check as per guidance
