We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join our team, someone who can deliver exceptional learning experiences for students with cognition and learning difficulties. In this role, you will be key in supporting students to develop the skills they need to thrive in the real world, including using strategies that support Total Communication. This holistic approach ensures that our students can communicate effectively, whether through speech, signs, symbols, or assistive technology, enabling them to access learning and express themselves in ways that work best for them.
What we’re looking for:
A resilient, enthusiastic educator with a passion for working with young people with SEND.
A teacher experienced or interested in using Total Communication strategies to support students’ diverse communication needs, including signing, visuals, symbols, and technology-based tools.
A relationship-focused teacher who understands the importance of building trust and creating positive outcomes.
Someone with a deep understanding of safeguarding and the ability to support our vulnerable students with care and commitment.
A flexible, creative problem-solver who is ready to embrace the new challenges that come with working in a special school environment.
In return, we offer:
A supportive and experienced team, dedicated to working collaboratively to meet the needs of every student.
A rich professional development programme designed to help you grow as an educator.
The chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people with diverse needs.
If you are committed to making a positive impact and are ready to help our students reach their full potential, we would love for you to visit us and learn more about how you can be part of our journey!
