Class Teacher job summary
Litherland Moss is an academy primary school, working as part of The Heath Family Multi-Academy Trust and as such has strong links with partner primary schools across three north-west local authorities. We are currently looking for three classteachers. One of the appointments is a permanent post (see other advert), with two additional maternity leave posts available (one part time and one full time). The part time maternity post will be based in nursery and the full time maternity post (see other advert) will be in key stage one or two.
We are looking for someone with a passion for teaching and learning, who believes in giving children the best school experience, that develop them as learners and as individuals with a strong set of values. Our children are wonderful, and they thrive when they feel well supported and encouraged. Being able to form strong nurturing relationships is essential. You will be kind, reflective, dedicated and resilient.
You will be a member of our dedicated staff team. Collaboration is at the heart of our school practice and, as such, we embrace the opportunities for collaborative working that come with working as part of a multi academy trust.
You will be joining the school at an exciting time. In June 2022 we will be moving to our new school building, on the Litherland High School site. The move will bring opportunities for new facilities and strengthen our links with the community.
Commitment to safeguarding
The Heath Family Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to all the relevant pre-employment checks set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education, including an enhanced DBS certificate with a barred-list check, references, and online searches. The amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 and 2020) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are considered ‘protected’. Guidance and criteria on the filtering of these cautions can be found on the Ministry of Justice website.
