About this Role


Position: Class Teacher/ECT Responsibilities:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the curriculum.

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independent thinking and a love for learning.

-Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their individual development.

- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of teaching and learning.

- Establish effective communication channels with parents/guardians, ensuring they are informed about their child's progress and involved in their education.

- Foster a supportive and nurturing classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour management strategies.

- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that enhance the overall educational experience of our students.

Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently enrolled in a recognised teacher training program as an Early Career Teacher (ECT).

- A thorough understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

- Passion for teaching and a commitment to providing an inclusive education that meets the needs of all learners.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to different learning styles.

- Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards professional development.

- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

- ECTs with the right skills and experience will be offered the opportunity to start in July and receive their salary through the summer holidays. This will allow you to get to know our school systems, staff and children.

- ECT training is provided by Arthur Terry, as well as a bespoke MAT training programme where you can work alongside ECT colleagues around the trust, providing great support and networking opportunities.
