St Helen’s is a wonderfully inclusive school to work in. Based in the centre of the town we serve a rich and culturally diverse community that makes our school special in so many ways. Research underpins much of our work and we work collaboratively at school and Trust level to ensure all of our pupils have access to the best opportunities and teaching we can give. The staff work well together drawing upon each others strengths. Balancing wellbeing and workload is high on the schools agenda which is why we only employ those who fit the schools ethos and understand how to prioritise what is important.

St Helen's are looking to employ a teacher to help cover classes from EYFS to Lower Key Stage 1, providing release for ECT's and teachers requiring PPA. Ideally we are looking for someone to work 0.4 although a 0.6 post is available. There is also the opportunity to work more hours or full time across St Helen's and Shotley Community Primary School. 1 year initially but likelihood of becoming permanent depending on school structures.

We are keen to employ staff who understand the uniqueness of each child and someone who has the skills to unpick barriers to learning and enable pupils to feel proud of all of their achievements no matter how small the steps- building confidence and empowering young minds to become more than they thought possible.
