Class Teacher job summary

Dear Teacher,

Providing the best education for children in areas experiencing high levels of deprivation is what we do. It’s what we believe we are good at, and it makes us happy. It makes coming to work every day worthwhile. We are not saying it is easy and that we don’t go home exhausted, but we love it. We want people to join us who feel as passionately about working in Innercity Birmingham as we do.

As the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher at Greet we recognise what a tough job it is, and we promise to do everything we can to support our staff. We look after your professional development and your mental wellbeing. We provide coaching, mentoring, and work within a Professional Growth Framework which promotes ownership of your own CPD.

We believe that colleagues should be treated with kindness and respect. We trust people to do the job. We believe in building warm professional relationships with those that we work with. We encourage our staff to “just ask”, “just come and talk to us”, or “just tell us...”.

We are ridiculously positive people and believe that nothing is insurmountable! We love a project!

What we are looking for are teachers who would love to be part of a team on an exciting journey. Teachers who will not be phased by the challenges of working in Innercity Birmingham. Obviously, you will need to be able to teach and be kind to our children. Working in a four-form entry school means you have to like working as part of a team and be highly organised.

Even if you are not sure you are welcome to meet our amazing children and staff. You just never know!

We look forward to meeting you.

Ms T Yasmin & Miss C Williams

Headteacher & Deputy Headteacher
