Class Teacher job summary
Teachers make the education of their students their first concern, and are accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct.
You will be a professional (emerging, developing or secure in your teaching experience), with honesty and integrity at the centre of everything you do.
With a desire to develop your subject knowledge and in full collaboration with teachers from across the five Key Stages, you will be student-centred, with high aspirations for those you teach and high expectations of yourself and others you work with.
The role includes line management of a team of support staff, and applicants should have either previous experience of line management or the willingness to embrace this responsibility with initial support on offer.
A firm commitment to, and a good understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PB), with all behaviour seen as a form of communication, and no external rewards or sanctions used as modification technique, we never give up on our students – no matter how challenging their needs may be/come.
All support, guidance and great future career prospects will be available to the successful candidate.
For the post advertised, you must:
• Meet the person specification
• Meet key accountabilities set out in Job Description
• Be able to use a range of ICT effectively, including remote live and recorded teaching and meetings
• Have excellent organisational skills
• Have superb communication skills, including in professional written work
