Class Teacher and English Lead job summary
Come join us in September 2022 to lead English, with a focus on reading and writing across Key Stage 2 and be a class teacher for our wonderful children. This is a permanent position, with a TLR 2b.
Finedon Mulso C of E Junior School is part of the Learning for Life Education Trust, a forward-looking academy trust. We are looking for an innovative and inspirational teacher and leader who can share great practice in the teaching and learning of reading, writing and oracy with our committed staff team. You will be a passionate and creative teacher who believes in inclusion and has high expectations for all children. You also have a good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment
We have a strong Leadership Team focused on improving our school. We are fine-tuning a challenging and stimulating curriculum designed to suit the needs of our pupils and the community we serve. You will join this team and your role will include coaching, mentoring and developing staff confidence and skills.
You are:
• Passionate about English
• An excellent practitioner
• Highly knowledgeable about high quality systematic synthetic phonics practice, preferably Read, Write, Inc
• Experienced in developing children as confident and competent writers, preferably using the Talk for Writing approach
• Able to model and develop high quality teaching
• Confident to lead CPD, coaching and mentoring for other staff
• Confident in the use of formative and summative assessment to raise standards • Able to devise an action plan - leading and implementing it across the school We offer you:
