Class Teacher job summary

We are looking to recruit a passionate and qualified teacher who will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to pupils at our school. This is a full time, permanent position during which time you will foster a positive classroom environment and collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the school, whilst leading a core subject. There is an opportunity to receive a TLR 2A for supporting Teaching and Learning for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of the children
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Promote a love of learning
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Be a DDSL to support the safeguarding team when required

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree qualification
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Outstanding classroom practice and a commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for children
  • A commitment to inclusive education and equality of opportunity
  • Able to use own initiative, creativity and innovative ideas to motivate and inspire children
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with colleagues, parents/carers and children
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Dedication to educating and empowering students
  • A firm commitment to continuous professional development

Riverside Primary School:
