What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Class Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive team at Parkwood Academy. The successful candidate will be expected to be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class/es ensuring equality of opportunity for all as well as being responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct. The role offers the opportunity to complete PPA time from home.

We would be delighted to hear from you if you have:

  • A degree or equivalent with Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience of teaching across the whole Primary school age range
  • A passion for learning, are creative in your approach and have the ability to encourage our children to become successful, self-motivated, happy and confident learners through engaging lessons.
  • A proven track record of good or outstanding teaching.
  • A positive and inspirational approach with a real passion for making a difference.
  • Ambition and have high expectations of yourself and for your pupils.
  • The ability to forge and maintain positive working relationships with children and their families.
  • The desire to be a valued member of a professional and supportive team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and are able to work well as part of our staff and wider Academy Trust team.
  • The ability to overcome communication barriers and build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Effective organisational and interpersonal skills, enabling you to manage tasks efficiently and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain composure in challenging situations.
