About the role

Permanent Full Time Position

  • Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the academy's policies under the direction of the Headteacher.
  • Be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has pupils who achieve well.
  • We would be delighted to accept applications from teachers early in their careers but we are also looking to add some experience to our middle leadership team.
  • We are particularly interested in developing our non core subject leadership capacity but first and foremost, we want teachers who can excite our children with their expert teaching.
  • Teach pupils in their assigned groups according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the pupils in school and elsewhere.
  • Assess, record and report attendance, progress, development and attainment of assigned pupils and keep such records as required by the school’s systems.
  • Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils, incorporating the National Curriculum requirements and in line with the curriculum policies of the school.
  • Facilitate, support and monitor the overall progress and development of a designated group of pupils.
  • Develop a stimulating learning environment and rich educational experience that provides students with a range of learning opportunities and allows them to fulfil their potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the school curriculum, teaching materials, methods of teaching and assessment and their review.
  • Ensure a high quality learning experience for pupils, which meets internal and external quality standards.
