Chalton is a small village on the road between Luton and Toddington. The original school building is 127 years old. This has been extended over the years to include hall, office, staffroom, classroom and toilets. Two further classrooms and an IT suite are sited in separate mobile buildings.
The school roll is expected to be approximately 64 children at the start of September 2021. The children are taught in three mixed aged classes.
There are high expectations of all children at Chalton. Since the class sizes are small we feel we can cater individually for every child’s needs and abilities. All the adults know the children well. As a staff team we value each other immensely and enjoy sharing ideas and working collaboratively.
This post requires an imaginative, sensitive and extremely flexible teacher. The ability to teach across all the year groups would be an advantage.
