Class Teacher job summary
We are looking to appoint a teacher who can demonstrate they can deliver good to outstanding lessons and who is passionate about quality SEN education.
You will have the highest expectations for all pupils to achieve well, with an excellent understanding of the challenges they face. Your planning will effectively support the individual needs of the pupils you teach. You will be able to make good use of a range of technology to support both learning and communication. Special school experience would be an advantage however, for the right candidate, as long as you are motivated, enthusiastic and ready for a challenge, Cherry Oak could be the place for you!

Cherry Oak School is a primary school for children with special education needs (SEN). All pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school has specialist provision for children with severe cognition and learning difficulties and those with Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties. Approximately half of the pupils are diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum. With capacity for 110 pupils, Cherry Oak School caters for pupils from Birmingham and beyond.
