This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher to join our well-established secondary team. The teacher will be responsible for the delivery of the majority of the curriculum to their class. We follow a broadly primary teaching model, with class teachers teaching their class for most subjects, though with subject specialists in PE, music, drama and design & technology. Our classes have about 12 pupils, and teachers are supported by a highly committed team of support staff. Most of our pupils are working at levels about one Key Stage below their mainstream peers.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and highly flexible candidates who have the ability to work collaboratively, manage the classroom environment and actively contribute to the wider life of our school. Clarendon is an inclusive school so candidates must have strong communication skills, be fast learners and the ability to work as part of a highly skilled team. This post would suit a teacher (with QTS) in their first five years of teaching with the ability to create a full board balanced curriculum.
Commitment to safeguarding
Clarendon School is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of its pupils and expects all staff to share this commitment. All posts are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Clarendon is a special school for pupils aged 4 to 16 with moderate learning difficulties, some of whom have additional complex needs (including Autism). Our school moved into new premises in 2018, with the new Secondary Centre co-located with a mainstream secondary school and another special school in central Twickenham. The school was again rated Outstanding by Ofsted in January 2019.
