Class Teacher (EYFS) job summary

We are looking for a class teacher who can teach our mixed Reception and Year 1 class from January 2021. You will be able to create a positive and challenging learning environment, know great Foundation Stage practice and have the highest expectations of all children, including SEND and vulnerable children. You will understand what makes excellent continuous provision and have the skills to be able to blend this with a Year 1 curriculum working with our Year 1/2 teacher. You will have a good understanding of SEND and be committed to the success of SEND and Pupil Premium children.

Our Reception/Year 1 class is spacious and well-resourced, with a hard surface play area immediately outside and a large garden beyond.

This is a temporary position at Main Scale until July 2021 which may continue after September 2021 once Governors have reviewed the staffing structure of the school.

There is the possibility of additional leadership responsibility for the right candidate.
