What skills and experience we're looking for

The Headteacher and Governing Body at Moat House Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher who has experience of working with and supporting children with SEN from Education Health Care Plans. This is an exciting opportunity to work and develop your skills further in a small dedicated Early Years nurture base, located within our inclusive mainstream school. This is a full time permanent post.

Our dedicated Early Years nurture base, aims to provide a supportive environment for pupils with a high level of educational needs, within a communication rich environment, helping them to prepare for the next stage of their education. Pupils accessing the base will have the advantage of specialist support within a small class. Where possible, pupils will integrate and mix socially with pupils from across Early Years, giving all children a broad, balanced and nurturing inclusive provision.

You must be an inspirational class teacher who is able to both motivate and support pupils with a high level of educational needs. You will be passionate about all aspects of teaching and learning and have the experience and knowledge to lead our Nurture base. Play based learning will support the children, along with your experience in planning an adapting the curriculum, to help pupils make progress and enable them to access mainstream lessons with support when appropriate. TA support will be available. You will be keen to develop your own knowledge and practices further and will be happy to engage in professional development opportunities.
