Class Teacher job summary

Here at Glory Farm Primary School we provide education for pupils aged between three and eleven from a richly mixed catchment area, a responsibility we take seriously. Our community is very proud of our school and the strong reputation we have thanks to our committed teaching and support staff team. At the heart of everything we do, are our children. We aim toward developing our children into life-long learners who are equipped to be educated citizens of the future. This is an excellent time to join us as we have recently had a very positive Ofsted report which confirmed that we are a 'good' school. This, along with our development of the Arts curriculum and our International links, as well as our Artsmark Gold Award and International Schools Award, all point to a school that is at a very exciting stage of its development.

We are now seeking to appoint a Class Teacher who has a passion for teaching and learning, and who will join us on our exciting journey, raising standards whilst maintaining an inclusive and engaging environment for our children. This is a fixed- term role to cover maternity leave from 1 September 2024 until 31 August 2025. This position is full-time and and will be based in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on the experience of the successful applicant. Applications from Early Career Teachers are also very welcome. For further information about the role please see the attached job description and person specification.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed - we would encourage you to book a visit to experience, for yourself, the ethos and feel of our school. Should you have any questions or wish to discuss the role in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact us on the details provided.

Glory Farm Primary School and the Acer Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and preventing extremism; all staff must ensure that the highest priority is given to following the guidance and regulations to safeguard children and young people.
