What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a committed, excellent teacher who teaches through a joyful and playful approach and is committed to a non-punitive and gentle approach to behaviour support.

The teacher must be happy to teach students with a variety of complex disabilities including students with profound and multiple learning disabilities, complex severe learning disabilities with and without autism. Some of our students have extreme behaviours that challenge arising from their disabilities.

What is most important is the attitude and determination to provide the absolute best for all our students. It is a role where you can make a significant difference in our students’ lives.

The successful candidate will:

  • Passionately contribute and believe in the school's ethos and mission.
  • Have a calm and gentle approach to behaviour support.
  • Have the ability to work both independently and as a part of a larger team.
  • Have had experience in managing working with and directing Teaching assistants
  • Have creativity and a love for exciting lessons.
  • Have a problem-solving attitude.
  • Have a can-do attitude
  • Contribute to all aspects of the school.
  • Have a willingness to develop and improve.

St Ann’s School is an outstanding secondary special school in Ealing with students with the most complex disabilities including profound and multiple learning and physical disabilities, severe learning difficulties and complex autism.
