The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about, and experienced in implementing current good practice, including synthetic phonics, and a creative approach to English and mathematics. We are looking for an outstanding practitioner and team player, who enjoys teaching, has a desire to contribute to the development of the school and has:
QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree;
A passion for children’s learning and development;
High aspirations for all children and a desire to raise standards;
High aspirations for themselves and a commitment to further development

About Harris Primary Academy Purley Way
Harris Primary Academy Purley Way opened in 2016 with its first cohort of Reception children and their families, and now educates children from Reception to Year 2. Since 2017, the academy has been based in purpose built, three storey building, with state of the art technology and resources and facilities to support the school on its journey to Outstanding. Harris Primary Academy Purley Way will grow year on year to provide classes from Reception to Year 6 and offer three forms of entry by 2022.
Our Academy’s ethos is that ‘All children have the right to be safe, happy and respected so that they enjoy their learning and reach their potential’. It is our job as educators to ensure the right environment, opportunities and resources are available to enable this to happen. Showing Respect, Taking Responsibility and Making the Right Choices are the ‘Golden Rules’ which are instilled into our pupils as they become confident and caring citizens.
