“Building loving hearts and strong minds in union with God and each other”

At Holy Rosary, the curriculum is broad, balanced and ambitious for all our pupils. Our focus on empowering pupils to have a voice, and ensuring that staff are highly trained and supported, means that good teaching and learning is a feature of every class in the Academy. We are pragmatic and forward thinking in our approach, not only drawing on our experience, but also looking at the latest research to understand what helps children learn best and applying it in our practice.

We prioritise the Social, Emotional, Mental Health and Wellbeing of the whole community. Personal development is given the highest priority and when further support is required, our positive relationships with all our families and our connections with local agencies and schools means that we can help them access the support they need.

Holy Rosary is led and managed by a strong team, working together with and drawing on the vast resources of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust. This has supported our rapid progress as a school and continues to drive the school forward to ensure an outstanding Catholic education is available to every child who attends our Academy.

We work together as a community to ensure that 'Loving Heart - Strong Mind' is more than a motto. It has become a way of thinking and being that runs through all our actions and aims.

A Warm Welcome

Marie Dyche, Headteacher

I am delighted to welcome you to Holy Rosary Catholic Voluntary Academy - proudly part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust.

Holy Rosary Catholic Primary School opened officially in March 1966 on its current site on Alexandra Road, Winshill, with 170 pupils. Lots has changed since then, including our conversion from Primary School to Catholic Voluntary Academy in September 2018. We have grown in popularity over the years and we now have over 250 pupils - from Pre-School to Year 6 - which reflects the belief and trust that our Catholic community has for the future of our academy.
