What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a teacher to join our team.

We are looking for a person with experience teaching across either EYFS/ Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 who, when they read this advert thinks that this could be the place for them. We have some flexibility between EYFS/ KS1 or KS 2 – so just come and chat with us. If you can offer specific strengths/ passions or interests that would be great.

We very much encourage you to come and visit our school to find out more and would be delighted to show you around.

Please telephone on 016973 71367 or contact the Head teacher by email (head@ireby.cumbria.sch.uk) and we will get back to you to arrange a time and date for your visit (if possible, during the school day so you can meet our children and staff).

What the school offers its staff

At Ireby, we are passionate about giving our children first-hand experiences across our curriculum. We have recently purchased a new minibus so that we can study rivers by visiting the rivers – connect to local businesses or easily access places of worship in nearby cities. We also want to develop our school site so that we further enrich our children’s experience.

We can offer:

  • Children who are eager to learn and small class sizes
  • A vibrant vision which will engage your creativity.
  • A school where you can enjoy your teaching and be part of a supportive community
  • A well-resourced school with secure finances and wonderful learning environment
  • An outward-looking school that enhances learning using technology
  • Settled and experienced leadership and governors.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.
