Class Teachers – Windmill Hill School
Salary: MPS / UPS + SEN Points (dependent upon qualifications and experience)

We are seeking to recruit class teachers who are committed to providing outstanding learning experiences for our new provision in Luton, Windmill Hill School. This provision is now open and is for students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, primarily with cognition and learning. This may include PMLD, severe and complex learning difficulties, SLD, Autism and physical disability. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Windmill Hill School from the very start and as it grows, and to be a part of the school from the outset.

The role will entail working with a dedicated team of teaching assistants to lead a class of fantastic students. We welcome candidates with the suitable experience, motivation and commitment to apply for the role.
Windmill Hill School will be a successful specialist setting for students aged 11-18 with a broad spectrum of special educational needs and learning disabilities.
Candidates with suitable experience, motivation and commitment have the opportunity to apply for the role of a class teacher. As a growing Academy Trust we are looking for Good and Outstanding teachers, who have experience of working with young people who may have profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe or complex learning difficulties, social and communication learning needs and /or ASD and associated behaviours.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the development of the school as part of a brand new team.

Are you:
Positive and passionate about working with students with learning disabilities
A good or outstanding practitioner with experience of teaching students with severe or complex learning difficulties, social and communication learning needs and /or ASD and associated behaviours.
A reflective practitioner
A team player who can work as part of the multi-disciplinary team
Able to motivate and lead by example
Knowledgeable about the learning needs of students with a range of barriers to overcome
