Class teacher - key stage 2 job summary
Woodside Primary School- Class Teacher Key Stage 2
An opportunity has come up to join us in our wonderful school and help us to shape the future of our young people.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational individual to join our special team at Woodside. We are a close knit team who value and support each other- working towards the common goal of providing an outstanding, inclusive education within a supportive and happy environment.
We provide a nurturing environment where everyone is encouraged to do their very best- “believe, achieve, succeed”- which includes staff as well as the children.
We are committed to continuing to reduce workload through the use of carefully chosen schemes, a minimal marking approach and the option to have PPA off site. We provide regular leadership time to enable extra responsibilities to be carried out. Staff well being is high on our priority- with an open door policy where staff are listened to by the SLT and time to talk to our on site councillor should this be required.
We have children who want to learn, are happy, considerate, well behaved and welcoming. Our parent body is supportive and engaged with the school.
Within the next 2 years we will have a brand new school which will be environmentally friendly as well as offering us the best possible learning environment that we can offer our young people, while retaining our fantastic grounds and the ethos of our school.
The role is currently within Key Stage 2 and the successful candidate will be expected to have a subject leadership responsibility, unless an ECT.A preferred subject will be agreed after appointment, so please ensure preferred subjects are specified within the application.
Visits to the school are highly recommended and encouraged. Please feel free to call the school for an informal chat with our Headteacher- Caroline Ginty.
We reserve the right to interview before the closing date so early application is advised.
