Class Teacher (KS2) job summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for an engaging and caring teacher to join our small but friendly teaching team in September. It’s a full-time and permanent post in a Key Stage 2 classroom and delightful village location. Situated between Winchester and Romsey, the school is easy to get to and enjoys fantastic grounds.

Our children and staff work hard and do well. They are articulate and interested in learning. We want to help them have a positive impact on the world around them. We’re also working on making our curriculum more exciting and interesting so we’re looking for someone who is creative, aspirational, optimistic and willing to give things a go! In return, we’ll help you gain experience so that you can progress in your career. As we work in a federation of two schools, there are always opportunities for staff to work together and learn from each other.

Whether you are a Newly Qualified Teacher or someone with more experience, we’d love to hear from you. We’d love to know how you can add something special to our school and federation.

Ampfield School and John Keble School, Hursley, joined together in a federation at the beginning of the academic year 2013. Moments away from each other, the two schools are different in character but share the same philosophy and values. Ampfield is a very small primary school, with two classes. John Keble is a one-form entry primary school with up to 30 children in almost all year groups. It has a good reputation in the community and a large percentage of children travel from out of catchment to be part of our school. We have been able to see some excellent results but we are keen to ensure that they are maintained and consistent across every year group.
