What skills and experience we're looking for

An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, enthusiastic teacher and aspiring leader to be part of our school. The role is class teacher of a mixed Year 2, 3, 4 class, which is supported by a strong team of one full time HLTA and up to 2 additional TAs throughout the day. We are looking for a teacher who is an excellent practitioner, has high standards for our children and is committed to their academic progress and personal development. We are on a school improvement journey and would welcome applicants who value being part of our school improvement, and are keen to contribute to our consistent whole school approach to teaching and learning.

What the school offers its staff

  • A dedicated, enthusiastic and professional team who have a clear shared vision and wide-ranging expertise
  • Access to up to date resources, frequent CPD and modern learning schemes to support with planning and adaptations
  • Children who are polite, excited and eager to learn
  • A skilled, experienced governing body, committed to helping the school move forwards
  • An Academy Trust that offers support, collaborative working and career progression opportunities. TPAT offer staff the chance to be part of forward-thinking projects, such as the Advantage Project, whereby teachers and children each have an iPad to support children’s learning.
  • Fantastic surroundings – our school is lucky to have a large playing field with a wild area, a farm ‘next door’, cliff top nature walks and beaches, all located on the beautiful Lizard Peninsular.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.

Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
