Class Teacher job summary
Lonsdale School wishes to appoint an innovative teacher (primary, middle or secondary trained) who is committed to our inclusive vision and ethos. A teacher specialism in core subjects, English, Maths, Science, ICT would be an advantage.
This is an exciting opportunity, especially for an educational professional who is keen to do something different and work in a setting where child-centred and bespoke high quality learning is at the heart of everything we do. We are a PNI special school and our students, all of whom are enthusiastic, highly motivated learners, have a wide range of abilities and have high expectations from their staff.
Classes are structured on ability, not age. Groups are small, with an average of 8 pupils. Pupils’ studies and attainment vary widely with some pupils focusing on a life-skills-based curriculum whilst others study towards GCSEs, BTECs or Functional Skills qualifications at KS4 and Post 16.
A visit to our school, virtual and real, is essential for those who are considering this post.
Please contact the school office to arrange a visit.
