What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, flexible and committed team member to join our happy and successful school family to cover a maternity leave position. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to maximizing the educational, personal, social and emotional development of our pupils, through a creative and reflective approach. Experience of teaching in both Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2 would be an advantage. The role also provides leadership responsibilities; the successful candidate will be given dedicated time and support with this role.

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:

  • experience of supporting pupils of different abilities;
  • knowledge of the National Curriculum, including at least an awareness of the Early Years curriculum;
  • patience and compassion;
  • the ability to work flexibly;
  • excellent interpersonal skills, being able to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, parents and other professionals;
  • a proactive, self-motivated approach but also able to work as part of a team;
  • a willingness to learn and develop existing skills;
  • a commitment to safeguarding;
  • a sense of humour;
  • willingness to ‘go the extra mile’.
