What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you an enthusiastic practitioner looking to work in an exciting and inclusive school, with excellent professional development opportunities and a supportive and caring environment? Then we have the school for you!

We are looking for a highly motivated teacher with a passion for teaching and learning for our mixed Year 5/6 class. We have two Year 5/6 classes and therefore the successful candidate will be working alongside another Year 5/6 class teacher, who is also the Key Stage 2 Phase Leader. We welcome applications from ECTs and experienced teachers.

Kingsclere CE Primary has maintained its ‘good judgement’ (following our recent Ofsted Inspection) with polite and friendly pupils who show respect for one another throughout the school and ‘flourish in a welcoming and supportive school.’ Our caring ethos is fostered through timely and effective attention to our pupils by all members of our school community. Our Headteacher is excited for a strong class teacher to join the team, to help build on the good practice currently within the school whilst bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm to help drive our school to excellence.

We are looking for a teacher who:

- is dedicated to and passionate about learning and teaching, with an inclusive attitude to all

- has high expectations of themselves and that of the children they teach

- is inspiring to others, acting as a role model to both staff and children across all areas of the school curriculum

- is a good team player, is flexible and can work effectively with others

- uses initiative, helping to develop creative learning experiences for the children they teach

- is reflective in their practice, striving for excellence with a willingness to adapt practice to suit learners needs

- would like to be involved in the wider life of the school community

- empathetic to the school’s Christian ethos and values

- can build positive relationships with parents/carers

- has a good sense of humour

What the school offers its staff

We can offer:

- highly motivated pupils who understand the importance of learning

- a friendly and caring school community including staff, parent/carers and governors, who all work hard to support our pupils

- an inclusive church school where everyone is valued and encouraged to succeed

- a supportive and hard-working staff team with a good sense of humour

Early applications are encouraged and will be considered as they are received. We reserve the right to close the vacancy if a suitable candidate is recruited.
