Class Teacher job summary
Our new team member will have:
•strong curriculum and subject knowledge with the ability to raise pupil achievement while being creative in the classroom
•an excellent understanding of how children learn
•very high expectations of themselves and the children in their care
•effective classroom management skills and be able to provide stimulating learning opportunities which lead to excellent pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Be responsible for the preparation and development of teaching materials, teaching programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate
• Be accountable for the attainment, progress and outcomes of pupils.
• Have a clear understanding of the needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs; gifted and talented; EAL; disabilities; and be able to use and evaluate distinctive teaching approaches to engage and support them

Meadowcroft School is situated in a quiet residential area of Chertsey and is a Surrey County Council Community Infant School, taking children from the age of four to age seven. The school has a single form entry which adds to the ‘family’ ethos. The atmosphere around the school is calm and cheerful.
