Class Teacher job summary
An exciting opportunity exists to join our outstanding team (Ofsted 2017). We have a very experienced and supportive Governing Body and staff team, a purpose built school with enhanced facilities to support a range of therapies and super outdoor play areas. Our emphasis on self-improvement and the continuing desire to provide high quality care and support is integral to the successful delivery of high quality teaching and learning that serves the complex needs of all our pupils.
The successful candidate will join our team of committed professionals who see the learning needs of the individual as a priority. The Governors are looking for a teacher who has a good understanding of how children with complex learning difficulties learn; has the ability to think creatively; is flexible enough to work across the school; is able to approach diversity with calm, good humour and a determination to find solutions to problems; is able to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and the wider community. We are particularly interested in teachers who have experience of working with children with severe learning difficulties and a diagnosis of autism.
