  • An ability to plan the curriculum to match the needs of the children in the class and a thorough understanding of assessment for learning.
  • A strong interest and ability in ICT and its opportunities for learning.
  • Evidence of high standards of pupil progress and outcomes.

  • Effective behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to implement a range of teaching strategies.
  • Good understanding of what keeps children safe.

  • An ability to be a role model, upholding morale and having high expectations of self and others.
  • An understanding of the need for equality of opportunity within a changing community.

Relationships

  • An ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with children and adults both inside and outside school.
