Class Teacher - Part Time - one year contract job summary
We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner with a creative approach to teaching to commence a one year fixed term contract in September 2021. This role will be for two days per week as part of a job share and is to cover the secondment of one of our teachers into a different role which is funding dependant. If funding continues for the secondment then this role may well be subject to extension beyond the initial year.

Epsom Downs is a diverse and vibrant Primary School & Children’s Centre set on the edge of the famous Epsom Downs racecourse. We are a large and very well resourced school with outside play areas equipped to the highest standard, a small farm, an off-site Nature World, a Music room, Library, dedicated Media Suite and even an outdoor beach! We have excellent facilities and accommodation including a library, music room and media suite. In addition, all classes have interactive whiteboards and laptops.
We are a two form entry school. Epsom Downs has been awarded Children’s Centre status and has facilities from birth to 11 years. Our Children’s Centre incorporates a Day Nursery and Family Centre, both open 51 weeks a year offering integrated support to all families in the area. The school also has a Breakfast Club, After School Club and Holiday Playscheme which provide families with high quality care out of school hours.
The school is a member of the North Downs Schools Partnership and we work collaboratively with other local schools.
