Class Teacher - Reception / Y1 (0.4-0.6) job summary

Hunton & Arrathorne Community Primary School is a flourishing village school with four classes in North Yorkshire, with 65 pupils on roll. We are looking for an excellent teacher, with experience of EYFS and the National Curriculum, to initially teach our wonderful class of nineteen Reception and Year 1 children, as well as leading Phonics and Early Reading, alongside other curriculum areas.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Is able to demonstrate a thorough and detailed knowledge of the EYFS and National Curriculum.
• Is able to create a truly inspirational learning environment for the youngest children in our school.
• Is able to inspire children by delivering a lively, engaging and thought-provoking curriculum.
• Is able to develop excellent relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Is able to work alongside the English leader to become the phonics and early reading expert in school and instil a love of reading in our youngest pupils.
• Has experience of working within EYFS and a commitment to keeping up with updates within EYFS
