Class Teacher job summary
Sandon Primary Academy are looking to employ a part time class teacher - from January 2022 to work in Year 5 (class size of approx. 20). Sandon is an outstanding setting with a bespoke learning environment - ensuring 'only the best is good enough' for our pupils.
Visits to the Academy are warmly welcomed and can be arranged via telephone. Newly qualified teachers, recently qualified teachers and experienced teachers are all welcome to apply.

Sandon Primary Academy is in an area of high deprivation with many pupils starting with low baselines. Our role is to ensure that they make rapid progress during their time with us and leave us as well-rounded individuals who will go on to their next educational phase with secure attainment.
How we make this happen is by having excellent classroom practitioners, reduced class sizes and an overt focus on the happiness and well-being of the child. We use our curriculum as a way to engage the child and make learning relevant and personalised to their need. We endeavour to remove the barriers that are faced by children and our fundamental ethos across the school is;

As for the staff – we are an efficient team who all have the above ethos at the heart of all that we do. We have worked hard over the past year to look at work-life balance and how a few changes to practice can make a significant impact on our family life - we think we have indeed found the balance!
Finally, our proudest achievement to date is the design and construction of our Swimming Pool which has been open since October 2018 – this enables every child to have a weekly swimming lesson and allows us to continue to forge even more effective links with our valued community.
