Class Teacher job summary
Sherrier CE Primary School is a caring, inclusive school where children are placed at the heart of everything we do. We have currently have a vacancy for a full time, permanent Year 6 class teacher from August 2026. Subject leadership of PE or Science would also be part of the role.
We would like to hear from you if you are:
• Enthusiastic, creative and highly motivated
• Knowledgeable about curriculum in KS1 and KS2
• Able to provide a stimulating environment for learning and quality teaching
• Able to foster positive relationships with children of all ages
• Have excellent communication skills, and good interpersonal and organisational skills and a sense of humour
• Willing to undertake relevant training
• Able to make learning fun and support our caring ethos.
Previous experience in Year 6 would be an adavantage.

We are looking for a teacher with some experience and are looking to recruit on Main Pay Scale - 3 -6
