We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced class teacher and leader to teach year 6 and lead on the development of teaching and learning across school. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Headteacher on data and curriculum development. We are looking for someone that has a commitment to delivering high standards of teaching and learning and has the motivation to develop professionally and collaborate with others.
There will be many opportunities for the successful candidate to develop as a leader both within school and through Elevate, the Multi-Academy Trust we are joining. The successful candidate will be well supported by the Headteacher to lead on the development of the curriculum and teaching and learning across school. The successful candidate will have the ability to provide a high-quality learning experience as well as the enthusiasm and energy to engage and motivate all pupils and a desire to provide the very best for every child at South Kilvington.

Job purpose
• Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class ensuring equality of opportunity for all
• Lead on the development of the curriculum and maintain high standards in teaching and learning across the school
• Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct
• Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position
• Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors and other staff in the best interests of pupils
• Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
