What skills and experience we're looking for

Hob Moor Oaks are seeking to recruit an outstanding Teacher to commence as soon as possible. Hob Moor Oaks is a well-respected Nursery to Year 6 special school based in York.

You will need a great sense of humour and the ability to develop creative strategies and ideas for maximising every child’s learning and development. You will need effective communication skills to work within a class team.

The school is part of a unique Federation with Hob Moor Primary Academy. Both schools are in the same building, sharing facilities and learning opportunities. The schools joined the Ebor Academy Trust in May 2018.

The successful applicant will be:

  • A talented Teacher with passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Totally committed to and able to demonstrate excellent teaching** so that every child has the very best outcomes.
  • Able to communicate effectively with parents, carers and other multi- agency professionals within meetings, EHCP paperwork and training events.
  • Someone with vision, creativity, drive and enthusiasm who will contribute to the continued improvement of our school.
  • Able to lead a team of teaching assistants to provide a specialized learning provision for children with SEND.
