Class Teacher job summary
Responsible to:
• Head Teacher and Deputy both directly and via the school’s management structure.
Responsible for:
• The pupils in your charge
Important Relationships:
• Pupils and parents
• Other members of staff
• The Governing Body
Important External Relationships:
• Local education authority staff and in particular the school’s Link Inspector
• Teachers in other Primary schools
• Teachers in other Secondary schools
• Members of the Inspection, Advisory and Training services at Royal Borough of Kingston (RBK) and Southwark Diocesan Board of Education (SDBE)
Main Purpose of Job
To ensure the development of pupils with due regards for the aims and objectives of the school and the needs of individual children.
