St Petroc's Church of England school is part of Celtic Cross Education. Our school is the heart of the community. We believe that having high expectations and standards throughout the school with a bespoke curriculum are the keys to success. The school was built in the 1970s and has grown dramatically with extensive grounds, which we continue to develop to ensure the best provision for our pupils.

At St Petroc’s we want the very best for every child in our care. With our mission statement; Through God’s love and lessons, we care, share and grow together; at the heart of everything we do, along with our Christian values of trust, respect, love, friendship, hope and joy; we have created a nurturing and welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued and part of a caring Christian family.

At St. Petroc’s, we are committed to providing the best experiences for all children. We believe that no gift is too small to be shared with others and that every child should be given the breadth and quality of education that will enable them to succeed and flourish.

We aspire for our children to be resilient, resourceful and flexible learners; who take pride in their work, their behaviour and their school. Through quality-first teaching, a range of learning opportunities and a happy, inclusive, safe environment they develop spiritually, morally and emotionally, with the confidence to ask questions, think creatively and take risks.

Our aim at St Petroc’s is for children to become caring, creative, confident and adaptable citizens, equipped with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world. The school has extensive grounds including a bike track, outdoor gym, Wild Tribe nature area and a school garden. We also offer parents wraparound care through our breakfast club and after school provision.
